Does Sceneboard come with sounds?

No — and that's the point. Sceneboard is a tool for your sounds: import them, extract them from your videos, or record them. There is no built-in catalogue, so there are no copyright surprises and no ads paying for someone else's clips.

Is it really free?

Yes. The free tier is one active board with up to 8 pads, and it includes the full toolset: import, video-audio extraction, recording, trim, normalize, all four playback modes, output routing, Stop all, and the Playing tray. No ads, no watermarks, no expiring trials, no degraded audio.

What does the one-time purchase unlock?

Exactly four things: unlimited boards, unlimited pads per board (across up to 8 pages), hardware keyboard shortcuts, and board export & sharing. It's a single lifetime purchase — no subscription. Nothing that is free ever becomes paid.

I bought the unlock — how do I get it on my new device?

Install Sceneboard, then Settings → Restore purchases with the same Apple ID.

Is there a subscription?

No. One purchase, yours forever.

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for, anywhere in the app.

Where do my sounds live? Do they get uploaded?

Everything is stored on your device, inside the app. Nothing is ever uploaded — there is no server. The only network connection the app ever makes is Apple's App Store system, for the purchase and restore. Your sounds are included in your normal device backup like any other app data.

Will it play when my phone's silent switch is on?

Yes. Sceneboard behaves like a music player: the ring/silent switch doesn't mute it. Use the volume buttons or Stop all.

Does audio keep playing if I lock the screen or switch apps?

Looping sounds (your ambience) keep playing — that's by design, so a board can run a room while the device sleeps on the table. One-shot sounds are momentary. If a call or alarm interrupts playback, nothing auto-resumes: you get a “Sound paused — Resume” button and you decide.

Can I play more than one sound at once?

Yes. Layer an ambience loop with one-shot effects, fire two pads at the same time, stack the same effect with Overlap mode. Sceneboard mixes everything cleanly without distortion.

How do I stop just one sound?

Loop pads: tap the pad again. Anything else: open the Playing tray and use that sound's own stop button. Stop all silences the whole board in one tap.

Yes. Exporting a board (part of the unlock) creates a single bundle file — pads, colours, modes and audio included — that you can AirDrop or send however you like. Importing a bundle is free: your friend previews the whole board and picks any 8 pads to use free, or unlocks to use it all. Sharing is device-to-device; nothing goes through a server.

Can I use it with a Bluetooth speaker?

Yes — pick the route in Settings → PLAYBACK → Output. Bear in mind Bluetooth itself adds a delay that varies by speaker; the built-in speaker and wired outputs are the instant routes. AirPlay works for ambience but isn't suited to split-second triggering.

Does it work on iPad?

Yes — Sceneboard is one app for iPhone and iPad, portrait and landscape. Pad positions are remembered per device and orientation, so your layout stays under your fingers.

Is there an Android version?

Not currently. Sceneboard is an iOS/iPadOS app.

What sounds am I allowed to use?

Anything you own or have the right to use — your recordings, sounds you've purchased or licensed, free-license effects. Sceneboard never redistributes your audio; it stays on your device, so your library is your business.
